I read a book Heaven is for REAL by Todd Burpo. The book is a  family's story of a child who visits heaven and tells of what he see and feels during this experiene.. A must read!!!! The story affirms how important faith is in our lives and the lives of children. Too many times children are negatively impacted by the circumstances of their life, illness, poverty, and neglect. After reading this story it rejuvenated me to make and donate what I hope to be 50  lap quilts for children and adults that need extra TLC.

I am working feverishly to donate to a local primary care offices.  If you can help me with a lap quilt, to give some TLC to someone we don't know but can use some TLC.  Everyone needs love, and kindness this holiday season let's all not forget those around us that need someone to simply say you are special .

Last year there were two women who needed some medical care and during the visit mentioned that they received one Christmas card between the two of them. The nurses got together and put a small gift bag of items together and delivered them. Unfortunely they did not have any adult quilts to give them. I would love to present this PCP office with extra quilts to use in situations like this. There are other stories and being a single quilter I can't meet the needs.

I have always seen the quilting community and know my personal friends to be gracious and giving to those in need. I ask that if you can give to someone you don't even know, please do so. Email me directly with the word BLOG in the message ( sometimes mail goes into spam) to help out, or simply send out a quilt.

Inspiration for today:

Take chances, take a lot of them.
Because honestly, no matter where you end up and with whom.
It will always end up just the way it should be.
Your mistakes make you who you are.
You learn and grow with each choice you make.
Eveything is worth it.
Say how you feel, always.
Be you, and be okay with it.

I am going shopping today to look for a few patterns to make Christmas gifts. I have decided on table runners for my co workers. I am also looking for a take along project to work on at lunch at work, in doctor offices, etc. I have today and tomorrow with  no absolute agenda, so I am off to sew after I get back from shopping. Catch you all tomorrow, with a few pictures of what I find today.
Love and Care, Grace

Today after much deliberation, I made the decison to get back to blogging. Truthfully I was hurt no one seemed to follow my blog. In retrospect I didn't give it much of a chance. So onto quilting news:

For those living in South Central Pa... have you gone on the shop hop?  If you haven't get your passport this week and start going to the shops. I started with Bitty Kinnas in Intercourse, Gina is the owner and she is absolutely a delight to talk to. She will help with any quilting related question and give you ideas and instruction. When entering the shop you are always greeted with a friendly "hello", and the conversation instantly moves forward, making you feel that you have just entered the home of a very good friend. I love Bitty Kinnas--I don't think Gina will mind the name Bitty Kinna means Little Mouse in case you were wondering. Ladies stop by Bitty Kinnas and tell Gina, Grace sent you.

In the next few days I will be showing you pictures of quilts that I do for charity. I really don't like the word charity quilts, it is more I make quilts for those who need some extra tender love and care. A favorite blogger of mine, Joanne from Splitting Stitches blogs has quilted some of my quilts for me.  In my quest to make a substantial amount of quilts I gave my quilts to someone local and didn't get them returned and now I can't find this person--In life we always learn the hard way.  This bump in the road has not stopped me, I now have a number of quilt tops made and I am going to have those quilted to give by Christmas.

I hope anyone who drops by, will continue to come back again, and again, I have so much to share with everyone!

Live life to the fullest!
Happy Sewing,
Hello fellow quilters, I gave up on this web two years ago. I have been simply lurking on others blogs getting inspiration. Today I decided after much deliberation that I would again go back to blogging.  Life has
